The immediate predecessor of the D300 was the legendary D49 engine, from which the new development inherited the best technical solutions. However, the designers went further, using a number of innovative technologies to achieve maximum performance.
Thanks to the successful combination of compactness, efficiency and reliability, the D300 engine has found wide application in various fields.
Main areas of use of this motor:
- Railway transport. The D300 is the base engine for new generation diesel locomotives, replacing obsolete diesel engines like D49.
- D300 is used as a power plant on ships: boats, yachts, barges.
- Energy. The engine is used in mobile and stationary diesel generators to generate electricity.
Technical characteristics of diesel generator D300
The D300 engine is available in several modifications, differing in power and torque. Let's look at the main design features of the basic D300 model:
- working volume - 14.86 l;
- piston stroke - 280 mm;
- maximum combustion pressure - 180 bar;
- maximum injection pressure - 1800 bar;
- new power design with a monoblock sleeveless bushing based on the cylinder block;
- piston rings with an asymmetrical barrel-shaped cross-section, metal-ceramic coating and a given radial pressure diagram;
- pistons with an asymmetrical oval-barrel profile;
- main bearings type TIAN;
- connecting rod bearings type TIAN;
- traction unit without electric machines;
- automatic self-cleaning filter;
- optimal combustion chamber;
- electronic air and gas bypass system;
- turbochargers with increased efficiency.
The engine has a V-shaped cylinder arrangement with a camber angle of 60°. The crankshaft is seven-fold fastened, made of alloy steel.
